To shortlist providers and have us verify documents and track each application through to the Feststellungsprufung, the Foundation plan is €50 paid once, with no admission fee later. Public Studienkollegs generally do not charge tuition, but semester contributions, application fees, language learning, visas, and living costs still apply. Private providers can charge tuition.

Do I need to know German or French?

English-taught Master programs may not require German or French. Studienkolleg teaching and entrance tests are usually in German, and requirements vary by provider; B1 is a common starting point, while some require a higher level.

Is the tuition really free?

Many public-university programmes charge no general tuition, but this is not universal. Non-EU tuition can apply in Baden-Württemberg, some Bavarian universities, and selected programmes. Every student also pays a non-refundable semester contribution set by the institution. Always verify the current official programme fee page.
